Educational support to Students K-12 struggling with homelessness and poverty.
For the past decade, Love My Life, Inc. has been instrumental in advocating for community needs, offering resources, and providing essential services to members in the homeless communities. Our organization serves as a cultural bridge between schools, community-based organizations and health care agencies.
We address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) which are the non-medical factors that influence health outcomes. They are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age, and they play a critical role in shaping the health of individuals and communities.
Our Community Health Workers (CHWs) are frontline public health workers. We provide resources and educations to low-income families, Black, African American and children who often face significant disparities. We are trusted members in the communities served, we observe and relay community realities to outsiders. This trusting relationship enables us to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.
We build individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support and advocacy. We work closely with schools, local organizations, and families.
