Educate, Advocate and Serve
Hello, my name is Kowjuana Ross-Kirkland.
I am the Founder & Executive Director of Love My Life, Inc., an Educator, Youth Advocate, and a leader in Community & Family Empowerment. With a strong background as a Community Health Worker, I am dedicated to uplifting those who have faced injustice, discrimination, alienation, tragedy, or violence.
My passion lies in community engagement, advocacy, and capacity building. Over the past 35 years, I have been a dedicated business owner, a proud mother of two, and a wife for over 40 years. My leadership extended from coaching Softball at T.R Smedberg Middle School Elk Grove, Ca. and serving as a two-term president of the Florin Girls Softball League and as the President of the South Sacramento Raiders Football League. My efforts have been recognized with a Resolution from the Southgate Parks and Recreation for my outstanding community work. Additionally, I founded the non-profit organization Love My Life, Inc., which is dedicated to empowering at-risk communities.
My greatest strength is in actively engaging with diverse communities and cultivating meaningful relationships. I have tackled significant challenges such as normalizing mental health discussions among youth and families in communities of color. Through Love My Life, Inc., I have made major contributions by providing education, resources, and support to at-risk communities. Our mental skills building workshops, Understanding “ME”, are conducted with the assistance of Healthcare Professionals, Mentors and Community Volunteers making a tangible difference in people's lives.
I align my skills with the opportunity to Educate, Advocate, and Serve. I invite you to join me in this journey of empowerment and change. Let's work together to build stronger, healthier communities. Please feel free to reach out to discuss how we can collaborate or if you'd like to know more about my work and how you can support our mission. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/
