The "Understanding ME" Youth Leadership Peer to Peer Workshop is designed to leverage peer education as a robust system for imparting knowledge and fostering social learning. - Tackling Peer Pressure: Students will learn how to address peer pressure using the "REAL" acronym:
- Refuse: Assertively say no to negative influences.
- Explain: Communicate reasons for their choice.
- Avoid: Steer clear of situations that lead to peer pressure.
- Leave: Exit environments where peer pressure is present.
Positive Peer Pressure
- Growth Mindset: Encourage a mindset focused on learning and self-improvement.
- Celebrate Differences: Embrace and appreciate diversity within the group.
- Influence: Motivate peers to excel in academics and extracurricular activities.
